About Us

Welcome to our blog! We are a group of nine girls who meet once a month to talk about books and to learn about what makes great literature. Here is some information about us. Enjoy!

Alexandria Adelle Mcbeth: My favorite subjects in school are reading and math. I love to watch movies, and my favorites are The Hunger Games, The Star Wars series,  Journey to the Center of the Earth, and  Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. My favorite books are The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfield, and The Babysitters Club books by Ann M. Martin. My favorite type of book is action mixed with suspense and a little bit of romance. But, I also like nicer books without the suspense and action, like Ballet Shoes and The Babysitters Club books. My favorite sports are dance and cheerleading/gymnastics. Some things I like to do in my free time are doing makeup, hair, and nails, reading, and writing stories. I also like to hang out with my family and friends.

I have taken ballet lessons for about ten years, and I hope to get involved in a modern dance group next fall. When I am not doing schoolwork or dancing, I am usually either reading fiction or writing on various topics. I have more favorite books than I can name, but some of my favorite authors are Lucy Maud Montgomery, Louisa May Alcott, C. S. Lewis, and Jane Austen. The number of my favorite movies is beyond my skill to count, but they include The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Pride and Prejudice (2005), Super 8, and Bridge to Terabithia. I enjoy a variety of genres in movies and books, ranging from romance to action, but I am currently on a fantasy streak. My heroes are C. S. Lewis and William Wilberforce.
